Location: Iselin, NJ (Hybrid - 1-2 days onsite per week)
Duration: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire
Compensation: $65-70/hr W2 (Target Conversion Salary: ~$150,000)

About the Role

Our client is seeking an AI Advisory Consultant (experience level 5-8 years) to serve as a key partner to the Director of AI & Automation as they continue expanding their AI practice and services offerings. This is a highly visible, client-facing role focused on helping organizations understand, evaluate, and implement AI solutions that drive business value.

The ideal candidate combines strong business acumen, a passion for emerging AI technologies, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders ranging from end users to executive leadership. This individual will help shape AI strategy, guide clients through AI adoption journeys, and contribute to the growth of the organization's AI consulting capabilities.
Responsibilities
  • Partner with clients to understand business objectives, operational challenges, and opportunities for AI enablement.
  • Advise business leaders and executive stakeholders on practical AI use cases, implementation strategies, and expected outcomes.
  • Facilitate AI discovery workshops, requirements gathering sessions, and strategic planning discussions.
  • Translate business problems into AI-driven solutions and recommendations.
  • Support the development and expansion of internal AI services, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Stay current on emerging AI technologies, platforms, and industry trends to provide thought leadership to clients.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to align business requirements with solution delivery.
  • Create presentations, business cases, roadmaps, and executive-level recommendations.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor throughout the AI adoption lifecycle, from ideation through implementation.
Required Qualifications
  • 5-10 years of experience in consulting, business transformation, process optimization, technology advisory, or related roles.
  • Demonstrated interest, knowledge, or experience working with Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, Machine Learning, or Intelligent Automation solutions.
  • Strong client-facing and stakeholder management experience.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and executive engagement skills.
  • Experience facilitating discussions with business leaders, department heads, and C-suite stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of business processes and operational improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly language.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in an AI consulting, advisory, innovation, or digital transformation role.
  • Background in engineering, software development, data analytics, automation, or solution architecture.
  • Experience evaluating or implementing AI platforms such as Microsoft Copilot, Azure AI, OpenAI, Google AI, Anthropic, or similar technologies.
  • Experience within a managed services, consulting, or professional services environment.
  • Strong understanding of AI governance, responsible AI practices, and organizational change management.
