Job DetailsKey Responsibilities and Duties
- Prepare and analyze manufacturing variances (labor, material usage, purchase price, overhead)
- Support standard cost maintenance and annual cost roll processes
- Prepare cost-related journal entries and perform account reconciliations during month-end close
- Assist with inventory accounting, including cycle counts, physical inventory, and reconciliations
- Generate weekly and monthly cost and operational reports for leadership review
- Partner with operations teams to understand production impacts on cost
- Support internal and external audits with costing and inventory documentation
- Perform ad hoc cost analysis and support continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications - Needed:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
- Minimum 1-3 years of accounting experience, with exposure to cost accounting preferred
- Experience or strong background in manufacturing environments and cost accounting principles
- Basic understanding of inventory accounting and standard costing methodologies
- Strong background in financial analysis, variance analysis, and reconciliations
- Proven ability to analyze financial data and support operational decision-making
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar preferred)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently with attention to detail
