Required Skills & Experience
BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field
10+ years of Mechanical Design Engineering experience within the laser, optics, or medical device industry
5+ years leading technical development projects and engineering teams
Strong experience with SOLIDWORKS and PDM systems
Experience designing optical and opto-mechanical systems
Knowledge of optical alignment, packaging, tolerancing, and stability analysis
Experience developing products within FDA-regulated and ISO 13485 environments
Strong project management and leadership skills
Experience taking products from design through manufacturing transfer

Desired Skills & Experience
MS in Mechanical Engineering
Experience with thermal management systems for lasers and optics
Experience integrating mechanical, optical, and electronic subsystems
Rapid prototyping experience for clinical and pre-clinical studies
Familiarity with CE Mark, FDA, and global medical device regulatory requirements
Experience managing suppliers and external development partners
Patent development or intellectual property experience
