Key Responsibilities
  • Lead electrical engineering support for capital expansion and maintenance projects involving compressor stations and industrial facilities
  • Oversee and review engineering deliverables produced by third-party engineering firms and EPC contractors
  • Support project execution including scope development, budgeting, scheduling, technical reviews, and risk management
  • Provide technical support during construction, startup, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities
  • Ensure compliance with NEC, IEEE, NFPA, and company engineering standards
  • Review and approve:
    • Single-line diagrams
    • Power distribution drawings
    • MCC and switchgear layouts
    • Cable schedules and conduit designs
    • Instrumentation and controls documentation
  • Support medium-voltage and low-voltage power systems including:
    • 480V and 4160V systems
    • MCCs, switchgear, transformers, generators, breakers, and relays
  • Support controls and automation systems including:
    • Allen-Bradley PLCs
    • SCADA/HMI systems
    • Wonderware
    • Emergency Shutdown Systems (ESD)
  • Review technical vendor quotations and equipment packages

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 7+ years of electrical engineering experience in:
    • Midstream Oil & Gas
    • Compressor stations
    • Pipeline facilities
    • Petrochemical or industrial facilities
  • Experience with:
    • Medium-voltage power systems
    • Industrial controls and instrumentation
    • Hazardous area electrical design
    • Capital project execution and EPC coordination
  • Strong understanding of NEC, IEEE, and industrial electrical standards
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and technical problem-solving skills

Preferred
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Experience with large horsepower centrifugal compressor stations
  • Experience with natural gas transmission or compression facilities
  • Knowledge of industrial automation systems and SCADA platforms
  • Experience supporting commissioning and startup activities
