Extraordinary Projects need Exceptional TalentDESCRIPTION:As an
Engineering Manager atFrontier-Kemper, you will have the opportunity to:
- Lead a multi-disciplinary engineering team of 10 Professional Engineers, along with more than eight engineers, designers, and detailers based in Evansville, IN.
- Oversee all engineering and design functions across three operational divisions: Heavy Civil Tunneling, Mine Development, and OEM Equipment Manufacturing/FKC-Lake Shore.
- Manage and maintain project engineering schedules and budgets.
- Serve as the technical liaison with Division Managers, clients, vendors, and regulatory bodies.
- Direct and coordinate engineering, operational, and quality initiatives to improve cost, delivery, and performance.
- Ensure that all designs meet commercial, customer, regulatory, safety, and quality standards.
- Lead three discipline managers in Civil/Structural, Mechanical, and Electrical engineering.
- Mentor and develop engineering staff, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
REQUIREMENTS:- Bachelor's degree or higher from an ABET-accredited institution.
- Minimum of 15 years of related engineering experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of operations management and/or engineering leadership experience.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) preferred.
- Strong technical background in Heavy Civil or Mining Construction.
- Equipment design and manufacturing experience preferred.
- Proven track record of successfully leading and motivating high-performing engineering teams.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and computer skills.
