BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Cloud Engineer (AWS with Python) for an opportunity in New York, NY

Position Title: Cloud Engineer (AWS with Python)

Location: New York, NY

Anticipated Start Date: Tentative Start Date

Expected Duration: 5 months contract to hire.

Job Type: Contract to hire, [On-Site]

Pay Range: [$75.76] to [$80.65]

Job Description:

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Python


• Solid experience with AWS cloud services, including:




• S3, Glue, IAM, KMS


• Lambda, SNS, SQS


• Step Functions, EventBridge


• API Gateway, Load Balancers


• Aurora DB


• CloudWatch




• Experience designing and developing microservices architectures


• Strong understanding of serverless and event-driven systems


• Experience with Databricks and large-scale data processing


• Hands-on experience with logging, monitoring, and observability tools (Splunk, Dynatrace, etc.)


• Strong understanding of data lake concepts and experience working with Snowflake is a good to have.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and applied experience.


• Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability


• Hands on experience building AWS services based applications and python applications


• Hands on experience of python and developing python based applications with API


• Hands on experience building Java Microservices, Spark etc


• Strong data warehouse knowledge such as Snowflake, or database knowledge such as Oracle or Postgres


• Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages


• Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
