Neos is Seeking a QA Test Manager for a long-term contract role for with our client in Austin, TX.

DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES

The Worker will design and execute detailed manual test plans and test cases specifically tailored to the four NASWA SIDES exchanges. This role involves performing manual API and connector testing using tools such as Postman or SoapUI to validate request and response payloads, ensuring seamless communication between TWC's internal systems and the NASWA central broker.

Furthermore, the Worker will conduct end-to-end integration testing to verify that data flows successfully to external employers and third-party administrators, while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of XML and JSON data packets against strict NASWA technical specifications and TWC database requirements.

In addition to technical validation, the Worker will manually verify the transition from paper-based to electronic processes, ensuring that automated triggers and UI workflows are accurately triggered and completed within the new system.

This includes identifying and documenting defects using TWC tracking tools, performing manual SQL queries to verify database updates across both legacy and modernized schemas, and providing essential support for regression testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

Throughout the project lifecycle, the Worker will maintain comprehensive documentation required for NASWA SIDES compliance and collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Developers, and stakeholders to ensure that all testing objectives and project milestones are successfully achieved. Perform other duties as assigned to maintain operations.

Requirements

Candidates that do not meet or exceed the minimum stated requirements (skills/experience) will not be considered for this opportunity.

4-7 years Extensive experience creating and executing comprehensive manual system test plans and test cases for complex enterprise applications.

4-7 years Proficiency in using manual API testing tools such as Postman or SoapUI to validate web service requests, responses, and integration payloads.

4-7 years Proven experience in end-to-end integration testing, specifically verifying the secure exchange of data between internal agency systems and external third-party brokers.

4-7 years Test tools (JUnit, Selenium, Microfocus UFT, etc.)

4-7 years Deep understanding of the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with a specific emphasis on manual testing disciplines and quality gatekeeping.

4-7 years Expertise in identifying, documenting, and reporting defects using tracking tools, including providing clear reproduction steps for development teams.

4-7 years Excellent leadership, communication, organization, planning, and problem-solving skills.

4-7 years Manage, perform, monitor, and report on test activities.

4-7 years Oversee user acceptance, performance, accessibility, interface, and data conversion testing.

4-7 years Review, update, and create test strategy, suites, and scripts.

4-7 years Proven ability to manage and oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and perform manual regression testing to ensure system updates do not impact existing functionality.

4-7 years Coordinate scheduling of testing staff, test activities, and meetings.

4-7 years Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to coordinate testing activities with Business/System Analysts, Developers, and stakeholders in a highly collaborative environment.

Preferred Skills

4 years DB2 and MS SQL Server Queries, Jenkins, CVS, Maven, and Ant

4 years Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) Octane

4 years Familiarity with validating XML and JSON data formats against strict technical specifications, preferably following NASWA SIDES or similar government data exchange standards

4 years Strong ability to perform manual database verification using SQL queries to ensure data integrity, consistency, and the correct processing of electronic records

2 years State of Texas experience
