The Maintenance Technician II is a direct hire, full-time position responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and improving a wide range of industrial production equipment and systems. This role supports manufacturing operations by performing preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment while ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient production. The Maintenance Technician II may also provide technical guidance and support to production and maintenance team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Inspect machinery and equipment to identify wear, defects, misalignment, and operational issues.
  • Dismantle, repair, and reassemble machinery and equipment components.
  • Install, repair, and replace hydraulic and pneumatic lines, fittings, and related systems.
  • Adjust, align, and calibrate machine components and control devices.
  • Operate machine shop equipment, including lathes, drill presses, grinders, and other metalworking tools.
  • Fabricate, modify, and repair parts as needed to support equipment maintenance.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical manuals, and equipment specifications.
  • Test equipment following repairs to verify safe and proper operation.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and communicate equipment issues effectively.
  • Support safety initiatives and continuous improvement efforts throughout the facility.

Qualifications
  • 2-4 years of industrial maintenance experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, manuals, and maintenance procedures.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and machine shop equipment.
  • Working knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and equipment reliability practices.
  • Basic math skills, including fractions, percentages, ratios, and measurements.
  • Ability to follow written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical certification, trade school training, or related maintenance education.
  • Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, food processing, or production environment.
  • PLC, automation, or advanced electrical troubleshooting experience is a plus.
