Verification / Electrical Test Engineer Implantable Medical Devices

Location: Onsite Greater Twin Cities, MN
Duration: 12 Months (High likelihood of extension)

Role Overview

Our client, a leading medical device company, is seeking a hands-on Verification / Electrical Test Engineer to execute electrical design verification testing for implantable medical devices. This is a lab-based role focused on protocol development, execution, bench testing, and reporting to support design verification and regulatory submissions.

Key Responsibilities

Execute electrical design verification testing for implantable medical devices.
Develop, write, and execute test protocols and verification reports.
Perform hands-on bench testing of electrical and electromechanical components.
Set up and operate lab equipment (power supplies, oscilloscopes, DAQs, signal generators, etc.).
Troubleshoot test failures and document results, deviations, and root-cause findings.
Collaborate with R&D, Systems, and Quality teams to meet verification requirements.
Support verification documentation in compliance with regulated design controls.

Required Qualifications

BS in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
5 10 years of experience in electrical verification / test engineering in a regulated medical device environment.
Strong hands-on lab experience with electrical testing of complex devices (implantable experience highly preferred).
Proven ability to author and execute verification protocols and reports.
Knowledge of Design Controls, V&V, and Quality Systems.
Strong documentation, data analysis, and technical communication skills.
Programming experience with tools such as LabVIEW, MATLAB, C/C++, or Python.
