Summary
Job Title: Senior Data Engineer
Location: Remote (Local to NYC or East Coast Preferred)
Duration: Contract through June 2027
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer with a strong background in Capital Markets and enterprise-scale financial services environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience building and supporting high-performance data integration solutions, ETL pipelines, and messaging-based applications while working with complex trade processing systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL and data integration solutions.
Build and support .NET-based applications for data processing and system integration.
Develop and maintain messaging solutions using RabbitMQ and other MQ technologies.
Work closely with business and technical teams to support trade processing and data flows across the complete trade lifecycle.
Design and optimize SQL Server databases, queries, stored procedures, and data models.
Implement cloud-based data solutions leveraging AWS services.
Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve data-related issues in complex enterprise environments.
Ensure data quality, performance, scalability, and reliability across applications and platforms.
Required Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
Strong Capital Markets domain experience.
Hands-on experience developing ETL pipelines using .NET technologies.
Extensive experience building .NET applications utilizing RabbitMQ libraries.
Deep understanding of the complete Trade Lifecycle.
Experience working with ISO 15022 messaging standards.
Strong AWS cloud experience.
Advanced SQL Server development and performance optimization skills.
Experience with MQ technologies and messaging frameworks.
Strong expertise in data integration, data processing, and enterprise data architecture.
Experience working within large-scale financial services organizations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with high-volume transaction processing systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote environment.
