Senior IT Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in San Francisco, CA that is seeking a Senior IT Engineer - CTH or DH (FTE).

Summary:
In this role, the Engineer to own and scale the infrastructure that supports our growing business. This role leads enterprise networking, office and facility IT build-outs, compliance initiatives, and cross-functional infrastructure projects. Ideal candidates have strong networking expertise, experience managing IT deployments across multiple sites, and the ability to drive projects from planning through execution in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
* Design, deploy, and support enterprise network infrastructure including routing, switching, firewalls, VLANs, wireless, VPN, DNS, DHCP, and SD-WAN
* Lead IT build-outs for new offices and facilities, including cabling, MDF/IDF rooms, equipment installation, A/V systems, and vendor management
* Drive IT compliance efforts (SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST), manage audit readiness, and maintain security controls, policies, and documentation
* Administer IAM, SSO, and MDM solutions while partnering with security teams on incident response and compliance initiatives
* Manage infrastructure projects, timelines, budgets, risks, stakeholders, and vendor relationships

REQUIREMENTS:
* 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, networking, or enterprise IT environments
* Strong background in enterprise networking, facility deployments, and IT operations
* Experience supporting compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, or NIST
* Proven project management skills with the ability to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously
* Experience with IAM, SSO, MDM, and cloud-connected environments (Azure/AWS)
* Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills
* Ability to work primarily onsite and support occasional after-hours deployments

Preferred Qualifications:
* CCNA, CCNP, PMP, Security+, CISA, or similar certifications
* Experience with Azure or AWS networking
* SOC 2 Type 2 audit support experience

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
