Summary

Job Title: Field IT Infrastructure Technician

Role Overview
We are seeking a versatile Field IT Infrastructure Technician to provide critical hands-on support for our distributed office and facility locations. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of our local IT infrastructure-performing installs, moves, additions, and changes (IMAC), as well as diagnosing and repairing hardware/software issues in a mission-critical, high-traffic environment.
This is a "boots-on-the-ground" role for an individual who is comfortable working independently and is ready to jump into a variety of technical challenges. Whether you are patching a network device, troubleshooting a workstation, or coordinating the physical relocation of server-room equipment, you will be the primary IT representative ensuring that our business locations remain fully operational.

Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure Support & Deployment
Hardware Lifecycle Management: Execute complex IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) requests. Manage the physical relocation and setup of workstations, peripherals, network routers, and other office IT infrastructure.
Incident Resolution: Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair desktop devices, software applications, and peripherals. Serve as the primary on-site responder for IT-related outages.
Network & Server Basics: Provide on-site support for network devices and server platforms. Perform basic connectivity checks and ensure local infrastructure is meeting performance standards.

Technical Operations
System Integration: Apply relevant technical processes to support business needs, ensuring that equipment-from specialized peripherals to complex server setups-is configured correctly and ready for use.
Documentation & Communication: Maintain detailed records of all hardware/software changes. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, project managers, and remote IT teams to keep all parties informed of service status.
Flexibility: Provide support in a dynamic, 24/7-style operational environment.

Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
Experience Baseline: 3+ years of equivalent experience in IT infrastructure support or hardware/software troubleshooting. (Formal IT training may be substituted for experience).
Technical Mastery: Strong hardware/software troubleshooting skills; knowledge of Windows workstations, MS Office, and core peripheral support.
Foundational Networking: Basic knowledge of network devices (routers/switches) and server platforms.
Physical & Logistics: Ability to handle the physical demands of IT infrastructure work (moving equipment, cable management, etc.). Ability to travel and work on-call/weekend/off-hours as required.

Preferred Attributes
CompTIA A+ Certification is highly preferred.
Proven ability to work in fast-paced environments where uptime is critical.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; you must be comfortable acting as the "face of IT" at our various facility locations.
