Location : Harrisburg, PA

• Local Pennsylvania candidates preferred

• Modernization of legacy Oracle Forms applications

• Migration to Oracle APEX on Oracle Database 19c

• Upgrade mission-critical environmental & regulatory systems

• Improve performance, security, and maintainability

• Align systems with current BIT standards

Responsibilities

Application Modernization

• Analyze existing Oracle Forms architecture & data structures

• Convert Oracle Forms applications to Oracle APEX

• Design and develop modern APEX user interfaces

• Establish UI/UX standards for APEX applications

Database Development

• Develop PL/SQL stored procedures, functions, packages

• Write advanced SQL queries

• Perform data pulls & data analysis

• Conduct performance tuning and optimization

Security & Integration

• Implement application security roles & authorization models

• Integrate web services and external systems

• Support secure development best practices

SDLC & Documentation

• Participate in full SDLC (requirements deployment support)

• Generate technical & functional documentation

• Provide weekly status reports

• Support production deployments & release management

• Mentor and provide knowledge transfer to IT staff

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science or related field

Experience

• 5 7 Years Oracle PL/SQL development

  • Stored Procedures

  • Functions

  • Packages

  • Advanced Queries

• 5 7 Years Oracle APEX development

• Strong knowledge of Oracle RDBMS (Oracle 19c preferred)

• Experience with SQL Developer and/or TOAD

• Understanding of Data Modeling principles

• Experience integrating Web Services

• Experience with Performance Tuning & Debugging (Oracle & SQL Server)

• Strong analytical & communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience modernizing Oracle Forms applications

• Commonwealth or Environmental systems experience

• Experience with:

  • XML

  • HTML

  • Java

  • PL/SQL APIs

  • SOA Architecture

• Agile/Scrum experience

• Experience supporting regulatory or mission-critical systems

• Strong technical documentation skills
