The Opportunity

StaffRight Associates is recruiting for a dynamic Operations Leader to spearhead production excellence within a high-capacity manufacturing environment in the Greater Pittsburgh area. This is a pivotal leadership role where you will own the end-to-executive execution of safety protocols, quality standards, and cost-efficiency strategies. You will act as the primary catalyst for operational reliability, transforming complex technical challenges into streamlined production wins. If you are a high-energy supervisor ready to drive continuous improvement in a heavy industrial setting, this is your platform to make a measurable impact.

What You’ll Do

  • Champion a culture of safety and meticulous housekeeping, ensuring all frontline personnel adhere to rigorous protective controls and operational standards.

  • Architect and facilitate the rollout of continuous improvement initiatives designed to slash cycle times and optimize the flow of materials through the facility.

  • Execute mission-critical maintenance strategies to bolster equipment reliability and eliminate the financial drain of quality defects caused by line interruptions.

  • Supervise and mentor a diverse hourly workforce, providing the technical guidance necessary to hit aggressive production targets and delivery timelines.

  • Synthesize technical data to implement electrical system modifications that enhance long-term reliability and meet evolving manufacturing demands.

  • Coordinate seamlessly with internal departments and external partners to synchronize mill activities and ensure peak hardware availability.

  • Cultivate a robust talent pipeline by creating cross-training programs that deepen the team''s collective mastery of specialized industrial finishing processes.

What You Bring

  • Educational Foundation: A Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or Technical discipline is preferred; alternatively, a minimum of four years of proven success in a manufacturing leadership capacity.

  • Technical Literacy: Proficiency in interpreting complex electrical and mechanical blueprints, with specific exposure to PLC systems, motor control centers, and power distribution.

  • Operational Grit: Experience navigating the demands of heavy industrial sectors such as metals, steel, or chemical processing.

  • Leadership Finesse: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and lead a represented workforce effectively.

  • Digital Proficiency: Mastery of the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and the aptitude to leverage enterprise-level operational software.

  • Adaptive Mindset: The ability to master intricate industrial processes (such as annealing or pickling) and the flexibility to support off-shift or weekend requirements when necessary.
