Job Summary
Client seeking a Lead Agilist I to support Agile teams within Commercial IT. The Lead Agilist will act as a servant leader, Scrum coach, facilitator, and mentor, helping Agile squads improve collaboration, delivery, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
- Serve as Scrum Master/Lead Agilist for one or more Agile squads.
- Facilitate Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, Retrospectives, and Backlog Refinement.
- Coach teams on Agile and Scrum principles and practices.
- Remove team impediments and coordinate resolution of cross-team or organizational blockers.
- Coach Product Owners and development teams on effective backlog management.
- Build high-performing, self-organizing, and collaborative teams.
- Promote continuous improvement using team feedback, metrics, and data.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration across teams and stakeholders.
- Support risk identification, dependency management, and conflict resolution.
- Mentor team members and promote learning and professional growth.
- Apply Agile practices such as CI/CD, TDD, automated testing, and DevOps.
- Work with other Agile frameworks such as Kanban, Scrumban, and XP.
- Create a trusting and safe environment where team members can openly raise concerns.
- Help teams stay focused on delivering business value.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of full-time business experience
- 3+ years of Scrum experience
- Strong knowledge of Agile and Scrum frameworks
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong experience in facilitation, coaching, mentoring, and presentation
- Experience identifying and removing team and organizational impediments
- Strong conflict-resolution and mediation skills
- Ability to communicate complex concepts and teach new practices
- Experience building and coaching high-performing Agile teams
- Strong servant-leadership mindset
- Ability to promote collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Agile/Scrum certification such as CSM, PSM, SAFe, or equivalent
- Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, TDD, and automated testing
- Knowledge of Kanban, Scrumban, XP, or other Agile methodologies
- Experience working in enterprise or financial services environments
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an experienced Scrum Master/Agilist with strong coaching and facilitation skills who can remove blockers, improve team performance, and effectively work with Product Owners, developers, and business stakeholders.
