Overview

SimVentions is a 100% employee-owned business and has consistently been voted one of Virginia's Best Places to Work. We are seeking an Aerospace Engineer to join our team! SimVentions is the prime contractor supporting NSWCDD A50 developing TTWCS software. This includes developing software test beds, performing analysis, and drafting reports. This position requires someone with programming and math skills who is willing to work on base at NSWC Dahlgren on a regular basis.

An Interim Secret Clearance is required for this position. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. ship is required to obtain a clearance.

Requirements

- B.S. in Aerospace Engineering

- Extensive math background

- Programming capability (e.g., proficient in C++, Python, MATLAB)

- Good communicator both in writing and verbally

- Must be a team player with proven work ethic

- First several months will be on-site at NSWCDD 5d/wk; over time there is limited telework authorized (likely one day every two weeks)


Responsibilities

Contribute to the development of a test bed for the Tactical Tomahawk Weapons Control System (TTWCS). Candidates will work with a joint Government-Contractor team to develop high fidelity models and a test bed that accounts for concept development, testing, and analysis of missile performance.

Preferred Skills and Experience

- Proven capability to work both on a team and individually on highly technical projects

- Demonstrated experience solving complex technical issues

- If candidate has >5 years of experience, recent experience must be technical and non-managerial

B.S. in Aerospace Engineering

Compensation

Compensation at SimVentions is determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, education, training, security clearance, work location, skills, knowledge, and competencies, as well as alignment with our corporate compensation plan and contract specific requirements.

The projected annual compensation range for this position is $75,000 - $130,000 (USD). This estimate reflects the standard salary range for this position and is just one component of the total compensation package that SimVentions offers.
