Sr. Business Analyst

Job Title: Sr. Business Analyst
Location: Cincinnati, OH
Type: Direct Hire
Compensation: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00
Contractor Work Model: Hybrid (Tues-Thurs)
Hours: 40.0 hours

Responsibilities

• Use knowledge of business processes and systems to define business requirements and functional specifications.
• Manage scope changes and issue resolution throughout project lifecycle.
• Coordinate implementation activities and contribute to process quality improvement initiatives.
• Work in a Scrum team, collaborating closely with business owners to analyze processes.
• Elicit requirements via interviews, document analysis, process descriptions, job aids, and workflow analysis.
• Review project initiation documents for completeness and feasibility; seek further clarification as needed.
• Maintain project artifacts including approvals, user stories, requirements, process maps, and reference guides.
• Participate in all project phases to ensure requirements are well-understood and executed.
• Serve as a contact point for functional areas; assist with implementation activities alongside Scrum Master, project, or release managers.
• Create and maintain stories for development teams using agile methodologies.
• Lead or participate in multiple projects; proactively suggest process improvements to drive efficiency and profitability.
• Conduct system overviews or training classes as necessary.
• Mentor Business Analysts to develop team skills and environment.

Requirements

• Minimum 6 years of IT Business Analyst experience.
• Experience with IT fundamentals such as database, process, and data flow analysis.
• Knowledge of data structures and data access methods, including SQL.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret customer needs and translate into operational requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or comparable experience.
• Will work in the office three days per week (Tues, Wed, Thurs) and reside in the greater Cincinnati Metropolitan Area.
• Proven ability to be flexible, motivated, and work independently or in a team environment.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
• Effective communication with diverse technical and non-technical individuals.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Experience with financial services or transportation/leasing industry preferred.
• Project Management experience.
