Systems Engineer

Location: Remote, United States. Midwest preferred

Type: Permanent / Direct Hire

Duration: Permanent

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to help support, automate, and continuously improve a Microsoft-focused cloud and technology environment. This role combines hands-on systems support and administration with automation, cloud services, infrastructure improvements, and low-code development.

The Systems Engineer will work across Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Intune, Power Platform, Dynamics 365, and related technologies. A major focus of the position is identifying repetitive or manual processes and developing scripts, workflows, and other solutions that improve efficiency and reduce recurring support needs.

This is a strong opportunity for someone who enjoys working across systems engineering, cloud administration, automation, and application platforms rather than specializing in just one technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and support Microsoft 365 and cloud-based services.

  • Support Microsoft Azure, Entra ID, and Intune environments.

  • Automate routine IT processes, including user onboarding, account provisioning, and system configuration.

  • Develop and maintain low-code solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, and Logic Apps.

  • Support and administer Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement applications.

  • Manage and maintain Microsoft Dataverse tables, views, schemas, and related components.

  • Develop PowerShell and other scripts to automate administrative and operational tasks.

  • Build and maintain Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines as needed.

  • Troubleshoot complex issues across Azure and other technology environments.

  • Support endpoint management, asset lifecycle processes, and security posture.

  • Monitor and support log aggregation and security monitoring platforms such as Splunk and Microsoft Sentinel.

  • Support Windows Server environments.

  • Assist with backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity technologies.

  • Develop flows, scripts, and system improvements that reduce recurring support tickets and manual work.

  • Document system configurations, technical procedures, diagrams, and changes.

  • Participate in cloud and infrastructure projects and recommend opportunities for technical improvement.

  • Work collaboratively across systems, cloud, security, and support functions.
