Senior Network Operations Lead / Lead Network Engineer

Job Description:

We are looking for a hands-on Senior Network Operations Lead / Lead Network Engineer with strong enterprise networking and security experience supporting large-scale network operations across routing, switching, wireless, SD-WAN, firewalls, cloud networking, and data center environments.

The ideal candidate should have strong troubleshooting expertise, incident management experience, and the ability to mentor L1/L2 engineers while driving operational excellence and network reliability initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead day-to-day NOC and network operations activities
• Serve as senior escalation point for complex network issues and outages
• Coordinate P1/P2 bridge calls and incident response activities
• Troubleshoot routing, switching, firewall, VPN, wireless, and network performance issues
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and recommend preventive solutions
• Improve operational processes, monitoring, documentation, and escalation workflows
• Develop SOPs, runbooks, incident reports, and operational standards
• Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, security, and engineering teams
• Support continuous improvement initiatives for enterprise network reliability and operational readiness
• Mentor and guide L1/L2 network engineers

Required Skills:
• Strong experience with Palo Alto firewalls
• Experience with Juniper SRX firewalls and Juniper Mist wireless technologies
• Strong Cisco and/or Juniper switching experience
• SD-WAN experience
• Strong L3 routing expertise including BGP
• Experience with Data Center networking and switching
• Experience with ACI and/or VXLAN fabrics preferred
• Cloud networking experience with Azure or Google Cloud Platform
• Experience with F5 load balancing solutions preferred
• Strong troubleshooting experience with VPNs, wireless access points, monitoring tools, and enterprise network operations
• Experience leading incident response and handling critical production outages
• Strong communication, documentation, and operational leadership skills
