About the RoleWe're looking for a
Senior System Administrator to lead the deployment and support of advanced technologies. You'll drive a
"Cloud First" strategy, integrating SaaS and IaaS solutions with on-prem infrastructure to ensure secure, reliable operations.
What You'll Do- Manage the full infrastructure lifecycle: design, deployment, testing, and maintenance.
- Configure and deploy servers, storage, networking, and endpoint devices across multiple sites.
- Implement virtualization solutions using VMware vCenter, Microsoft Hyper-V, and Azure IaaS.
- Migrate workloads from physical to virtual environments.
- Maintain cybersecurity best practices, including access control and centralized authentication.
- Lead incident response and ensure compliance with operational standards.
- Administer Office 365 (Exchange, Teams, OneDrive) and SCCM for centralized management.
- Support specialized business systems and safety-sensitive environments.
- Perform after-hours on-call duties and maintain robust backup solutions.
What We're Looking For- Education: Bachelor's in Computer Science, MIS, or related field (or equivalent experience/certifications).
- Experience:10+ years in infrastructure management and administration.
- 5+ years in infrastructure project implementation.
- Expertise in virtualization, SAN/NAS storage, backup technologies, and hybrid cloud environments.
- Skills:Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Server OS, Active Directory, VMware, Hyper-V, Azure, and Office 365.
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell) and familiarity with SCCM and SolarWinds.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and apply critical thinking under pressure.
Preferred Certifications- Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
- Azure Administrator Associate
Additional Requirements- Valid driver's license (state-specific within 60 days of hire).
- Ability to pass federal background screening for secure facility access.
- Classified as essential personnel.
