Your role in our mission Key Responsibilities: The Provider Relations Representative acts as a liaison between the Medicaid Agency and the provider community.
Plans and conducts provider educational workshops for all provider types.
Conducts individual on-site visits to providers.
Installs and troubleshoots Provider Electronic Solutions (PES) software and educate the provider community on the advantages of electronic filing, also trains on Medicaid's Interactive Web Portal.
Trains Account and Medicaid staff on new program changes.
Responds to written inquiries from the agency and provider community in a prompt, professional manner.
Completes the necessary hours to meet all deadlines and objectives.
Assists with other accounts within the department as needed.
Analyzes, reports, and identifies all trends which could lead to billing problems.
What we're looking for High School diploma required, college degree preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the a bility to present information in a clear, concise manner
Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs
Excellent customer service skills with the a bility to memorize and retain information
Medical background, claims experience and/or experience with Alabama Medicaid is highly desirable
What you should expect in this roleThere is a requirement to travel 50% statewide and visit bordering states within a 30 miles radius. There is also a potential for nationwide travel to meet minimum goals for contacting providers and resolving billing issues. Travel would include 2-3 days/week with 1-2 overnights per month.

The pay range for this position is $38,600.00 - $55,100.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
