Key Responsibilities
1. ABAP Development (HCM / Payroll Focus)
1. ABAP Development (HCM / Payroll Focus)
Develop and enhance ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, BAdIs, User Exits, and forms (SmartForms/Adobe Forms).
Build and maintain payroll-specific objects including schemas, PCRs, and wage-type processing rules.
Develop custom payroll reports (e.g., RPCALCX0, RPU* reports, PCP0 enhancements).
Create optimized programs for payroll calculations, retro calculations, and time evaluation.
2. US Payroll Technical Expertise
Collaborate with functional payroll teams to support US Payroll schemas, PCRs, tax logic, garnishments, and benefits.
Support federal, state, and local payroll tax rules and HRSP/TUB updates.
Analyze and troubleshoot payroll issues using debugging, payroll logs, and cluster analysis.
Support off-cycle payroll, retroactivity, and gross-to-net error resolution.
3. Integrations & Interfaces
Design and support interfaces with 3rd-party providers (ADP, Benefits, Time, Banking).
Build integrations using IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, BDC, LSMW, and custom frameworks.
Support Payroll Posting to FI, GL interfaces, payment files, and bank integrations.
4. System Enhancements & Technical Support
Work on Employee Central ECP SAP HCM integration (if applicable).
Provide technical support during monthly payroll cycles, audits, and year-end processing.
Create technical specifications (FDD/TDD), test scripts, and perform unit testing.
Perform performance optimization and code reviews for quality and best practices.
