Agile Project Manager / Scrum Master
Role Summary
The Intersect Group is seeking an experienced Agile Project Manager / Scrum Master to lead project execution, Agile delivery practices, and stakeholder communication across multiple initiatives. This individual will play a critical role in driving project success by facilitating Agile processes, managing project risks, and ensuring alignment between leadership, business stakeholders, and delivery teams.
This role combines Scrum leadership with traditional project management responsibilities, requiring a professional who can guide Agile teams, oversee project governance, support Program Increment planning activities, and provide executive level visibility into project progress. The ideal candidate is an organized and proactive leader who can balance strategic priorities with day to day execution while driving accountability across cross functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives
• Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and impediments while driving timely resolution and escalation when necessary
• Provide regular project updates, milestone reporting, and executive communications to leadership and key stakeholders
• Partner with Product Owners and delivery teams to maintain accurate Jira backlogs, stories, epics, and sprint priorities
• Support Program Increment planning activities, delivery planning, objective tracking, and cross team coordination
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, dashboards, reporting metrics, and communication plans
• Drive change management activities and support successful adoption of new processes and initiatives
• Identify process improvement opportunities and promote consistency across Agile teams and project delivery practices
Key Requirements
• 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, Project Manager, Agile Delivery Lead, or similar project leadership role
• Certified Scrum Master certification required
• Proven experience leading Agile teams utilizing Scrum methodologies in complex business or technology environments
• Strong experience managing projects involving multiple stakeholders, cross functional teams, and competing priorities
• Expertise in Jira administration, Agile board management, backlog grooming, sprint planning, and project tracking
• Experience with risk management, issue resolution, executive reporting, and stakeholder communication
• Strong understanding of Agile frameworks, SDLC methodologies, project governance, and delivery best practices
• Experience supporting Program Increment Planning activities and SAFe aligned environments preferred
• Proficiency with Jira, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Visio, and Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent communication, leadership, facilitation, organizational, and problem solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
• PMP Certification
• PMI ACP, Certified Scrum Master, or equivalent Agile certification beyond core Scrum credentials
• Experience supporting enterprise PMO or Project Portfolio Management functions
• Experience leading large scale Agile transformations or process improvement initiatives
• Experience managing cross functional programs with multiple delivery teams
• Experience providing governance, reporting, and delivery oversight across enterprise initiatives
