About the Role
The Mobility Simulation & Planning (MSP) Orchestration group transforms business strategies into actionable, optimized plans for Ops to effectively manage incentives and pricing. This group implements the core optimization algorithms behind each planning product, develops how Ops interacts with these products, manages the API between planning and real-time systems and makes sure the planning products run reliably and produce high-quality results.
What you will do:
1. Design and build next-generation tools that power and visualize investment decisions, enabling smarter, data-driven strategies across the business.
2. Lead cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, and Operations teams to deliver scalable systems and intuitive user experiences that drive business impact.
3. Solve complex technical challenges in distributed systems, ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability at global scale.
Basic Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
2. 4+ years of hands-on software engineering experience
3. Proficiency in Python, Go, or a general-purpose language such as Java
4. Familiarity with microservices and API design
5. Passion for building performant and scalable systems
Preferred Qualifications
1. Proven ability to build scalable, reliable, and distributed systems
2. Strong understanding of HTTP/REST/GraphQL, and experience with gRPC or Protobuf
3. Experience working w/ large datasets and data pipeline orchestrations
4. Proficiency in Python
For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$202,000 per year - USD$224,000 per year.
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$202,000 per year - USD$224,000 per year.
For Seattle, WA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$202,000 per year - USD$224,000 per year.
For Sunnyvale, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$202,000 per year - USD$224,000 per year.
