About the Program

Low Voltage training program designed to prepare individuals for entry-level opportunities in the low voltage and telecommunications field. This 6-week, full-time program is completely free for accepted participants and provides hands-on technical training aligned with industry needs.
Graduates of the program may be considered for potential job opportunities following completion, depending on performance and business needs. Career paths can include roles supporting telecom infrastructure, cable installation, alarm systems, and data center environments.

Program Format

• Weeks 1-3 (May 11-May 29): 100% Remote
• Weeks 4-6 (June 1-June 22): Onsite
• Location: Columbus, OH 43215

Skills You Will Learn

Participants in the program will gain foundational low voltage and telecom skills, including:

• Implementing and managing telecommunications and alarm systems
• Configuring equipment and software
• Monitoring network performance and troubleshooting issues
• Installing copper, fiber optic, and coaxial cabling
• Selecting proper connectors and terminations
• Terminating and crimping cables using:
  • Wire strippers
  • Crimping pliers
  • Punch-down tools
• Troubleshooting telecom wiring and cable systems using diagnostic tools
• Following safety procedures, including PPE use and electrical safety codes

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Albany, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $30.00/hr.
