Azure WAF & Security Tools Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Azure WAF Engineer to manage and optimize web application firewalls and security tools. This role is 70% WAF engineering / 30% security tools support.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and tune Azure Front Door WAF and Azure Application Gateway WAF (policies, rules, exclusions, custom signatures).
• Monitor WAF performance, analyze logs, and reduce false positives while maintaining strong security.
• Build and manage Terraform-based WAF deployments (Infrastructure-as-Code).
• Operate CI/CD pipelines (GitHub) for secure deployments and rollbacks.
• Support incident response, troubleshoot WAF issues, and collaborate with app teams.
• Provide support for security tools (e.g., Proofpoint, Qualys, Rapid7, F5 ASM).

✅ MUST-HAVE SKILLS

• Hands-on Azure WAF experience (Azure Front Door + Application Gateway)
• Strong Terraform (Infrastructure-as-Code) for Azure
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub-based deployments)
• Scripting: PowerShell, Bash, or Python
• Web application security expertise (OWASP Top 10, API security, TLS, bot protection)
• Experience configuring and tuning WAF rules, policies, and exclusions
• Ability to analyze WAF logs and troubleshoot issues

Nice to Have

• F5 ASM, Calico, Proofpoint, Netskope, Digital Guardian, Silverfort
• PKI / Certificate Management (Windows Certificate Services)
• DevSecOps and Agile experience

Qualifications

• 5+ years in application / cloud / network security
• Experience with Azure WAF operations in production
• Strong communication and documentation skills
