The VDC Engineer is a multidisciplinary role blending technical BIM/VDC expertise with creativity and problem-solving. You'll support preconstruction and project teams through modeling, coordination, constructability reviews, and 4D visualization, helping drive efficiency and innovation across the project lifecycle.

Job Details

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and support BIM/VDC coordination efforts across projects
  • Create and manage 3D models, site logistics plans, and construction sequencing (4D)
  • Perform constructability reviews and model QA/QC
  • Support estimating teams with model-based takeoffs and visualizations
  • Develop animations and graphics for presentations and project pursuits
  • Collaborate with field teams to align models with real-world execution
  • Assist with laser scanning and point cloud modeling
  • Maintain and enforce VDC standards across projects
  • Train internal teams on VDC tools and workflows

Qualifications
  • Experience in construction, design, or VDC/BIM
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
  • Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, SketchUp
  • Experience with MEP coordination and design collaboration
  • Strong understanding of construction documents, RFIs, and submittals
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Interest in emerging construction technologies
