Job Summary

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Subject Matter Expert (SME) – Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Lifecycle Management to provide technical leadership and expertise across the complete Oracle EBS application lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Oracle EBS environments, upgrades, patching, maintenance, release management, environment management, and lifecycle planning.

The consultant will work closely with technical, functional, infrastructure, and business teams to ensure stable, secure, and efficient management of Oracle EBS environments throughout their lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level SME expertise for Oracle E-Business Suite lifecycle management.
• Define and support Oracle EBS lifecycle strategies, standards, and best practices.
• Manage and advise on Oracle EBS implementations, upgrades, patches, maintenance, and version migrations.
• Support environment planning and management across Development, Test, QA, UAT, and Production environments.
• Provide guidance on Oracle EBS technology stack components, including Oracle Database, WebLogic, Forms, Reports, Apache/OHS, and application servers.
• Plan and coordinate Oracle EBS patching activities, quarterly security updates, and critical fixes.
• Analyze Oracle EBS lifecycle risks, dependencies, compatibility, and technical impacts.
• Support Oracle EBS R12/R12.2 lifecycle activities, including online patching where applicable.
• Develop and maintain lifecycle roadmaps for Oracle EBS applications and associated technology components.
• Coordinate with Oracle Support and other technical teams for complex issues and lifecycle-related requirements.
• Review Oracle EBS architecture and recommend improvements for performance, availability, security, and maintainability.
• Support release management, change management, deployment planning, and environment refresh activities.
• Provide technical guidance during upgrades, migrations, cloning, and environment consolidation.
• Assist with troubleshooting complex Oracle EBS technical issues and provide root-cause analysis.
• Prepare technical documentation, lifecycle plans, upgrade/patching strategies, and operational procedures.
• Mentor technical teams and provide knowledge transfer as required.

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of experience working with Oracle E-Business Suite.
• Strong expertise in Oracle EBS Lifecycle Management.
• Extensive experience with Oracle EBS R12/R12.2.
• Strong understanding of Oracle EBS architecture and technology stack.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle EBS upgrades, patching, cloning, migrations, and environment management.
• Experience with Oracle Database administration and integration with Oracle EBS.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle WebLogic, Forms, Reports, OHS/Apache, and related middleware components.
• Experience with Oracle EBS online patching (ADOP) and R12.2 maintenance.
• Understanding of Oracle EBS Premier Support, technology lifecycle, and product version compatibility.
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
• Experience working with distributed/global teams in a remote environment.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Oracle EBS R12/R12.2 certifications are a plus.
• Experience with Oracle Cloud, OCI, or EBS cloud migration is desirable.
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise Oracle environments.
• Knowledge of automation and scripting using Shell/Unix, SQL, PL/SQL, or similar technologies.
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, or automated deployment practices for Oracle EBS is a plus.
