SAP TEST LEAD

Position: SAP Test Lead Legacy Integration & Automation Location: Lisle, IL

We are seeking an experienced SAP Test Lead Legacy Integration & Automation to lead testing strategy, planning, and execution for SAP Greenfield implementation. This role is responsible for ensuring end-to-end quality across SAP and legacy system integrations, with a strong focus on test automation using Tricentis Tosca.

The Test Lead will own integration testing, data validation, end-to-end business process testing, and automation strategy, and will work closely with SAP functional teams, integration teams, business stakeholders, and system integrators.

Key Responsibilities

Test Strategy & Leadership

• Own and drive the overall test strategy for SAP Greenfield implementation with strong focus on legacy integrations
• Define and govern test approach for SIT, E2E, UAT, Regression, and Data Validation
• Serve as single point of accountability for test quality across Legacy integrated systems
• Lead and manage onshore/offshore functional and automation test teams

Integration & Data Validation Testing

• Reporting Test Manager, Lead end-to-end integration testing between SAP and legacy / satellite systems (e.g., middleware, DMS, finance, manufacturing, supply chain, etc.)
• Own data validation strategy for:

• Data migration
• Interface reconciliation
• Cross-system data consistency

• Ensure business process continuity across SAP and non-SAP systems

Automation Strategy (Tosca)

• Define and execute test automation strategy using Tricentis Tosca
• Drive:

• Automation framework adoption
• Risk-based automation
• Regression automation at scale

• Identify and prioritize high-value automation candidates
• Ensure automation is fully integrated with test management (e.g., qTest / ALM) and CI/CD where applicable
• Enforce automation standards, reusability, and maintainability

Test Planning & Execution

• Own:

• Master Test Plan
• Phase-wise test plans
• Entry/exit criteria
• Environment readiness

• Ensure defect triage, prioritization, and closure in partnership with development and SI teams
• Manage test cycles, cutover readiness, and go-live quality signoff

Stakeholder & Program Engagement

• Partner with:

• SAP Functional Leads
• Integration & Data teams
• Business Process Owners
• SI partners

• Provide regular executive-level status reporting on quality, risk, and readiness
• Proactively identify risks and drive mitigation plans

Required Qualifications

SAP & Testing Experience

• 12+ years in enterprise testing, with 8+ years in SAP programs
• Proven experience leading SAP Greenfield implementations
• Strong experience testing across SAP modules (e.g., FICO, MM, SD, PP, WM/EWM, etc.)
• Deep experience in:

• System Integration Testing (SIT)
• End-to-End Business Process Testing
• UAT
• Data Migration & Reconciliation Testing

Automation Expertise

• 5+ years hands-on experience with Tricentis Tosca
• Strong experience in:

• SAP GUI automation
• Fiori automation
• API and integration automation

• Experience designing scalable, maintainable automation frameworks
• Experience integrating Tosca with qTest or similar test management tools

Integration & Data

• Strong understanding of:

• Middleware (e.g., CPI, PI/PO, MuleSoft, etc.)
• Interface testing strategies
• Data migration validation
• Reconciliation and balancing techniques

Leadership & Delivery

• Proven experience leading large, multi-vendor test teams
• Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills
• Experience in SI-led delivery models
• Strong risk management, planning, and governance skills

MUST HAVE:

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA
• Experience in CI/CD and DevOps test integration
• Experience with qTest, ALM, or similar test management platforms
• Industry experience in manufacturing, automotive, or supply chain
