Summary
Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain IBMi systems to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
- Perform system health checks, job monitoring, and subsystem management.
- Apply updates, firmware, and OS upgrades following change management processes.
- Manage user profiles, system security, and resource allocation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to IBMi hardware and software.
- Enhance backup and disaster recovery processes using established tools.
- Participate in on-call support rotation for after-hours assistance.
- 3-5+ years of experience in supporting IBMi / AS/400 / iSeries environments.
- Strong knowledge of OS/400, CL commands, and system administration.
- Proficiency in system operations, job scheduling, and monitoring.
- Ability to troubleshoot performance and operational issues independently.
- Excellent documentation skills and familiarity with change management processes.
- Experience with enterprise backup solutions and storage systems.
- Knowledge of HA/DR solutions and automation tools.
- Familiarity with network concepts related to IBMi.
- Understanding of IBMi security and user provisioning.
