Position Summary
4Consulting, Inc is seeking a qualified Software Developers to support technology consulting, application development, systems analysis, testing, data management, cybersecurity, infrastructure, or project delivery services for client projects. The selected candidate will perform duties consistent with the client’s project requirements and company delivery standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The candidate will be responsible for:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable front-end and back-end application components, ensuring responsive user interfaces, reliable server-side functionality, and seamless integration across application services.
Collaborate with engagement managers, project teams, and functional and technical stakeholders to understand requirements, lead development workstreams, identify process improvements, and deliver high-quality application solutions.
Develop maintainable, reusable, and secure code using software engineering best practices, including refactoring, continuous integration, automated testing, test-driven development, static code analysis, and peer reviews.
Support application architecture and lifecycle management, including integration of AI and large language model capabilities, implementation of AI governance practices, and optimization of application quality, performance, and security.
Minimum Qualifications
The position requires:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience:
7+ years of experience in Java full-stack development, including front-end and back-end application development, enterprise software engineering, application integration, and implementation of scalable solutions.
Technical Skills:
Java, JavaScript, Angular, HTML, Spring, Node.js, MySQL, MongoDB, GitHub, Docker
Business / Domain Skills:
Experience supporting enterprise application development and modernization initiatives involving complex business workflows, process optimization, and integration of front-end and back-end business services.
Experience designing, developing, enhancing, and integrating enterprise applications, APIs, interfaces, workflows, batch processes, and data-processing components supporting business operations.
Experience implementing secure application development practices, identity and access management processes, and enterprise application lifecycle controls.
Experience supporting AI-enabled business solutions, including integration of large language model capabilities and alignment with organizational AI governance requirements.
Communication:
Ability to communicate with technical and business stakeholders.
Documentation:
Ability to prepare project documentation, status updates, and deliverables.
Work Authorization:
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Sponsorship may be considered where permitted by company policy and project requirements.

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
Experience applying software development best practices, including reusable code design, automated testing, continuous integration, secure development, and code quality reviews.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to lead development activities and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
