Your role in our mission

Take a close look at some of the details that contribute to Gainwell's industry-leading tools and technologies in this challenging position.

  • Provide support on a range application and will be available to support after hours and during weekend.
  • Demonstrates strong problem-solving and analysis skills.
  • Code, test, debug, implement and document moderately complex programs
  • Analyze, design and write specs and reqs from which we develop and code programs
  • Evaluate existing systems and programs; assist project the manager in assigning tasks and work closely with a team Liaise with clients and management to provide technical consulting on complex programming projects, validate program requirements and resolve issues that arise
  • Develop test plans and participate in QA activities such as coding reviews
  • Customizes software based on research and customer needs as appropriate.
  • Coordinates and facilitates communications with other departments and/or commercial vendor(s) to investigate and resolve software matters of significance and to ensure proper functioning of systems.
  • Maintains communication with management and customers regarding status of software development and problems.


What we're looking for

  • 6+ years of application development, technical leadership and batch programming experience using C, Unix and Linux
  • SQL for database querying and data structures (SQL Server or Oracle)
  • System integration and scripting
  • Medicaid IT systems, healthcare systems and regulatory environment experience is highly preferred


Other qualifications and skills:

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into business language
  • In-depth knowledge of SDLC methodologies (Agile, Waterfall)
  • Change management and release planning
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically and solve complex problems
  • Conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions
  • Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
  • DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines

  • Fully remote opportunity with the option to work anywhere within the United States
  • Opportunities to travel through your work (0-10%)
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule to accommodate business needs and travel as required
  • Video cameras must be used during all interviews, as well as during the initial week of orientation

The pay range for this position is $80,000 - $90,000 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
