Are you a hands-on Mechanical Engineer with experience in mechanical design, product development, and manufacturing support? We are seeking a motivated professional to join our team on a temporary contract-to-hire basis, supporting the design and development of mechanical systems, structures, assemblies, and fabricated components.


In this role, you will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and project teams to create practical, cost-effective, and manufacturable solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for engineers who enjoy taking projects from concept through production and installation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, structures, and systems

  • Create and modify 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and documentation

  • Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles and mechanical engineering best practices

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and manufacturing partners

  • Support fabrication, assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and production activities

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and engineering design changes

  • Assist with project planning, technical reviews, and customer requirements


Qualifications

  • 3+ years of mechanical engineering or mechanical design experience

  • Experience with SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software

  • Strong knowledge of machining, welding, sheet metal fabrication, assembly, and manufacturing processes

  • Experience creating detailed engineering drawings and mechanical assemblies

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred

  • Must be eligible to obtain security clearance

  • Available to start within 2 weeks


Preferred Skills

  • AutoCAD, FEA, prototype development, and production support

  • Experience in aerospace, defense, industrial equipment, automation, robotics, or related industries
