Why RoboForceRoboForce is an AI robotics company developing Physical AI-powered Robo-Labor for dull, dirty, and dangerous work. The company's robots are engineered for demanding industrial environments, with a focus on real-world deployment and scalability.
We are looking for a
Senior Robotics Systems Engineerwho thrives at the intersection of robotics software, system integration, and field deployment. You will develop the foundational platform that powers perception, planning, control, and autonomous operation-helping transform prototypes into reliable production robots.
Responsibilities- Design software interfaces between high-level robot applications and low-level sensors, actuators, embedded controllers, and communication buses.
- Design and integrate mechatronic systems, mechanisms, and test fixtures; develop, troubleshoot, and improve electrical subsystems and interfaces.
- Integrate and debug complex robotic systems spanning software, embedded, networking, electrical, and mechanical domains.
- Diagnose performance, reliability, timing, and hardware-interface issues across the robot stack.
- Drive system reliability and scalability through rigorous testing and root-cause analysis.
- Requires 5 days/week in-office collaboration with the team.
Requirements- BS/MS in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4+ years of hands-on robotics experience in industry, academia, or research labs, with a track record of building, integrating, and deploying real robotic systems.
- Experience developing drivers, hardware abstraction layers, or software interfaces for sensors, actuators, or embedded devices.
- Hands-on experience with several of the following: ROS/ROS2, real-time or embedded Linux, fieldbus or device communications, distributed middleware, sensor/actuator integration, and performance optimization.
- Ability to design and troubleshoot basic electrical circuits and mechanical components for robotic systems.
