Database Developer - Expert

We are seeking an experienced Expert Database Developer with strong expertise in database design, development, optimization, and performance tuning. Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain complex database solutions for enterprise applications.
• Write optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views.
• Perform database performance tuning, indexing, query optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Develop and support ETL processes for data integration and migration activities.
• Create logical and physical data models based on business requirements.
• Ensure data integrity, security, consistency, and high availability across database systems.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, and architects to support application enhancements.
• Monitor database performance and resolve production issues proactively.
• Participate in database upgrades, patching, backup, and recovery strategies.
• Implement best practices for database governance, documentation, and coding standards.
• Support reporting, analytics, and business intelligence initiatives.
• Work with cloud-based database technologies and modern data platforms when required.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 12+ years of experience in database development and administration.
• Strong expertise in SQL programming and relational database concepts.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar databases.
• Experience with PL/SQL, T-SQL, triggers, procedures, and functions.
• Strong understanding of indexing, partitioning, normalization, and query optimization.
• Experience with ETL tools and data integration processes.
• Knowledge of database security, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise database environments.
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud databases such as AWS RDS, Azure SQL, or Google Cloud SQL.
• Knowledge of Snowflake, MongoDB, or NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or reporting tools.
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and version control tools like Git.
• Certifications in Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, or cloud platforms are a plus.
