Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

Define, monitor, and enforce SLIs, SLOs, and Error Budgets for all eCommerce services
Drive chaos engineering and game-day exercises to validate fault tolerance
Architect resilient multi-AZ, multi-region AWS deployments for zero-downtime operations
Own and evolve Jenkins-based CI/CD pipelines for microservices on Kubernetes/EKS
Implement GitOps workflows; enforce trunk-based development and deployment gates
Automate infrastructure provisioning using CloudFormation, Terraform, and AWS CDK
Manage Akamai CDN configuration: edge rules, caching policies, TLS, WAF, and traffic shaping
Design and govern caching strategy across CDN, Redis, and Memcached layers
Build and maintain Splunk APM and Splunk Cloud dashboards, alerts, and runbooks
Implement distributed tracing (OpenTelemetry) across all microservices
Partner with InfoSec on PCI-DSS compliance, vulnerability management, and secrets governance
Enforce least-privilege IAM, network segmentation, and container security scanning
Mentor junior engineers and foster SRE culture across teams

Required Skills

Akamai CDN — edge config, WAF, TLS, traffic management
AWS Core Services — EC2, EKS, RDS, S3, CloudWatch, CloudFront, IAM, VPC, KMS
Kubernetes / Amazon EKS — production operations, Helm, HPA/VPA
Jenkins CI/CD — pipeline design and optimization
Splunk APM & Splunk Cloud — dashboards and alerting
Security — PCI-DSS compliance, IAM least-privilege, container security scanning
Infrastructure as Code — CloudFormation, Terraform, AWS CDK
Distributed caching — Redis & Memcached
SRE Leadership — SLI/SLO/Error Budget management, blameless post-mortems, DORA metrics

Preferred Skills

Chaos engineering tooling and game-day planning
eCommerce platform domain expertise at scale
Cross-team technical leadership and offshore team coordination

Location & Work Model
