Job Description:

Parsons Corporation is seeking to hire a Senior level Systems Engineer for a U.S. Government contract in support of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA). The Systems Engineer will provide end-to-end systems engineering expertise to rapidly test and integrate commercial solutions that address emerging Department of War (DoW) C5ISR, GEOINT, and AI capability needs on short timelines. The core focus of this role is ensuring that bespoke commercial applications and platforms can seamlessly integrate with DoW data architectures and systems, specifically targeting interoperability with DoW Command and Control (C2) situational awareness platforms across multiple network domains.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Identify, test, and integrate Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and emerging commercial technologies to fulfill rapid-fielding requirements for DoW C5ISR, GEOINT, and AI capabilities.
  • Provide systems engineering support focusing on geospatial AI data integration, Navy C5ISR architectures, and multi-domain data synchronization.
  • Provide system engineering technical support of the project via scope/requirements development, requirements management, data pipeline architecture, system design development, integration, and test/turnover on accelerated timelines.
  • Support development of systems engineering documents for delivery to the client such as system engineering plans, Interface Control Documents (ICDs), system requirements traceability documents, data schemas, test plans, and US government client turnover reports.
  • Participate in architecture reviews, vendor capability demonstrations, and stakeholder engagements to validate project requirements and ensure commercial system designs meet tactical DoW client requirements and end-user mission needs afloat and ashore.
  • Assist with the development of project assessments, market research reports, and analysis of alternatives to define optimal commercial technical solutions for data serialization, API management, Cross Domain Solutions (CDS), tactical data links, and geospatial processing.
  • Participate in rapid integration testing of software and data pipelines to ensure the successful, secure transmission of AI and geospatial telemetry to client systems.
  • Assist the Senior Project Manager with proposals, technical capability assessments of vendor solutions, and engineering cost estimations.
  • Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in systems engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical/scientific field.
  • 10 years of related work experience in systems engineering, data architecture, or Navy C5ISR integration.
  • Demonstrated experience evaluating, testing, and integrating commercial technologies for government or defense applications.
  • Demonstrated experience with Department of War (DoW) C5ISR data architectures, particularly Navy C5ISR environments (e.g., CANES, DCGS-N, PMW 120 systems, or similar afloat/ashore networks).
  • Must be willing to travel 25% domestically and internationally.
  • Must possess an active TS//SCI clearance.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
  • Direct experience designing data pipelines or APIs that integrate with Maven Smart Systems or similar DoW AI data fusion platforms.
  • Experience with rapid prototyping and agile integration methodologies to meet short-timeline deployment requirements.
  • Knowledge of Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) and the secure transmission of data across multi-domain environments (e.g., NIPR, SIPR, JWICS).
  • Familiarity with tactical and geospatial data standards such as Cursor-on-Target (CoT), Link 16, and Ostandards (WMS, WFS, GeoJSON).
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, agile team environment.
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, conduct technical presentations to the field team/clients/stakeholders, and interface effectively with DoW clients, mission partners, and commercial vendors with tact and diplomacy.

Security Clearance Requirement:
An active Top Secret SCI security clearance is required for this position.
