Data Scientist Gen AI role

There is an urgent need of a Data Scientist - Gen AI, local to NJ, US. Need to be in office 3-4 days a week in Raritan, NJ.

• Looking for a junior resource with 3-4 years' experience, required in Pharma.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement Generative AI and ML solutions for pharma use cases (drug discovery, clinical trial analytics, regulatory document automation, medical insights)
• Fine-tune and optimize LLMs (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, LLaMA, Hugging Face, etc.) using pharma-specific datasets
• Develop NLP pipelines for unstructured data such as clinical study reports, protocols, publications, regulatory submissions, and safety narratives
• Build RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) solutions using embeddings and vector databases
• Apply prompt engineering for scientific and regulatory accuracy
• Work with pharma data sources including clinical trial data (CDISC SDTM, ADaM), pharmacovigilance, real-world evidence (RWE), and literature data
• Ensure compliance with GxP, FDA, EMA, and data privacy standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (clinical, regulatory, safety, medical affairs)
• Support model deployment, monitoring, explainability, and validation in regulated environments

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Bioinformatics, AI/ML, or related field
• Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn)
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI / LLMs and NLP
• Solid understanding of pharmaceutical data, workflows, and regulations
• Experience working with structured and unstructured scientific data
• Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
