Electrical Machine/Automation Build Technician (On-Site)(No H-1B or Corp to Corp)

Please note that this is a 12 Month Contract position and is On-Site. No Corp to Corp or H-1B.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associate's degree or technical certification in Automation, Mechatronics, Electronics, or a related field.

• Strong hands-on knowledge of PLC and HMI programming, including diagnosing code.

• CODESYS (IEC 61131-3) programming standard preferred.

• Knowledge of Allen-Bradley (AB) or Beckhoff PLCs preferred.

• Solid understanding of industrial electrical panels, AC/DC voltage, sensors, servo drives, and pneumatics.

• Experience installing, maintaining, or programming industrial robotic arms and motion control components.

• Experience wiring electrical cabinets and machines following electrical schematics.

• Ability to read, interpret, and work from electrical schematics, CAD drawings, and technical manuals.

• Knowledge of industrial safety standards, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).

• Ability to diagnose root causes of machine downtime, faults, or sensor errors and implement timely fixes.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Experience programming vision algorithms for Keyence or Cognex systems.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Controls Technician will support machine building, automation development, and troubleshooting activities. This role requires hands-on experience with PLC and HMI programming, industrial electrical systems, robotic arms, motion control components, and electrical cabinet wiring.

MACHINE & AUTOMATION BUILD

• Work with CODESYS (IEC 61131-3) programming standards.

• Support Allen-Bradley and Beckhoff PLC systems.

• Work with industrial electrical panels, AC/DC voltage, sensors, servo drives, and pneumatics.

• Install, maintain, or program industrial robotic arms and motion control components.

• Wire electrical cabinets and machines according to electrical schematics.

AUTOMATION DEBUGGING

• Read, interpret, and work from electrical schematics, CAD drawings, and technical manuals.

• Follow industrial safety standards, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).

• Diagnose root causes of machine downtime, faults, and sensor errors and implement effective fixes.

• Troubleshoot PLC and HMI programs, including diagnosing code.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support vision algorithm programming for Keyence or Cognex systems, as applicable.
