Responsibilities

  • Responsible for maintaining, repairing, and overhauling heavy military equipment, with a focus on combat systems such as engineer equipment, including trucks, bulldozers, power shovels, graders, loaders, and other heavy machinery used in construction and combat support operations.
  • The role requires specialized knowledge of hull and turret operations, plus general heavy equipment maintenance. Perform field-level and sustained maintenance on engines, transmissions, drive trains, hydraulic systems, brakes, fuel systems, and electrical components. Operate and inspect equipment to diagnose defects, dismantle/reassemble using hoists and hand tools, and replace defective engines, transmissions, and subassemblies.
  • Test overhauled equipment to ensure operating efficiency.
  • Weld broken parts and structural members.
  • Repair, adjust, and maintain mining machinery (stripping/loading shovels, drilling/cutting machines, continuous mining machines).
  • Oversee non-specialized mechanics to ensure quality repairs.

Qualifications

  • Must be proficient with hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
  • Must have experience with turbine engines, diesel/gasoline engines, and complex fire control systems.
  • Must have Operator-level knowledge of combat system capabilities and procedures.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test and background screening.
  • Must be able to receive a favorable TIER-1 investigation result and for CAC (Common Access Card) eligibility.
  • Must be able to bring and use own General Mechanics tools.

Desired Qualifications:
  • 7 years of maintenance experience on a required combat system and construction equipment.
  • 5 years of maintenance supervisory experience.
  • Experience with U.S. Army maintenance procedures (AR 750-1).
  • U.S. Army MOS 91L/62B series qualification.
  • Commercial Driver's License with Passenger Endorsement preferred.
  • ASE certification preferred.
  • HVAC EPA Tech Cert 608/609 preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid Driver's License.

Physical Demands:
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs, push/pull, carry, stoop, bend, squat, and reach.
  • Work in heat, dust, cold, and inclement weather.
  • Periodic overtime .

PAY & BENEFITS
  • Hourly rate $28.38

Note: This is a military contractor position, so familiarity with Army maintenance standards and combat vehicle systems is essential.
