Job Description – SAP Document and Reporting Compliance (SAP DRC Lead/Consultant)

1. Role Overview

The SAP Document and Reporting Compliance (DRC) Consultant will be responsible for implementing and supporting SAP DRC solutions on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) for statutory e-invoicing and compliance requirements for France and Germany entities operating on SAP ECC.

The role involves end-to-end design, configuration, integration, and deployment of e-invoicing solutions, ensuring compliance with local regulatory mandates and seamless integration with SAP ECC systems and external government/PEPPOL networks.

2. Key Responsibilities

Solution Design & Architecture

• Lead the design and implementation of SAP DRC architecture on BTP for e-invoicing.
• Define integration architecture between SAP ECC, SAP DRC, and external platforms (e.g., French PDP/PPF, German e-invoicing frameworks).
• Ensure scalability, security, and compliance alignment in solution design.

SAP DRC Implementation

• Configure SAP Document and Reporting Compliance for:
• France e-invoicing (Chorus Pro / PDP model)
• Germany e-invoicing (XRechnung / ZUGFeRD frameworks)
• Implement electronic document framework (eDocument Cockpit) in ECC.
• Enable localization and country-specific compliance configurations.

Integration & BTP Enablement

• Develop and configure integrations using SAP BTP Integration Suite (CPI).
• Set up communication between ECC and BTP using:
• APIs / Web services
• Cloud Connector
• Manage mappings, message transformations, and error handling mechanisms.

Compliance & Regulatory Alignment

• Ensure compliance with evolving statutory requirements in France and Germany.
• Work closely with business/legal teams to interpret regulatory updates.
• Configure validation rules, reporting formats, and submission processes.

Testing & Deployment

• Lead unit testing, SIT, UAT, and regression testing cycles.
• Coordinate with business stakeholders for validation of e-invoicing scenarios.
• Support go-live planning and hypercare activities.

Operations & Support

• Provide post-go-live support including monitoring and issue resolution.
• Manage DRC-related incidents, enhancements, and change requests.
• Ensure SLA adherence and system availability.

4. Required Skills & Experience

SAP Expertise

• Strong experience in SAP Document and Reporting Compliance (DRC)
• Hands-on experience with eDocument Framework in SAP ECC
• Exposure to SAP BTP (Integration Suite / CPI)

Localization & Compliance

• Experience in:
• France e-invoicing (Chorus Pro / PDP/PPF compliance model)
• Germany e-invoicing (XRechnung, ZUGFeRD)
• Knowledge of PEPPOL network and e-invoicing standards

Integration Skills

• SAP CPI iFlows development and configuration
• Experience with:
• APIs / Web services
• IDOCs / XML / JSON mappings
• Understanding of middleware and integration patterns

Technical Skills

• SAP ABAP (for enhancements and debugging)
• XML / XSLT transformations
• Error handling and monitoring tools

5. Soft Skills

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Experience working in global/multi-country projects
• Ability to engage with business, legal, and compliance teams
• Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset

6. Experience Requirements

• 8–12+ years of SAP experience
• Minimum 2–3 implementations in DRC / e-invoicing solutions
• Experience with ECC to BTP integration projects preferred
