OutSystems Engineers

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced OutSystems Engineer to design, develop, integrate, deploy, and support enterprise applications using the OutSystems low-code platform. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with OutSystems application development, integrations, databases, deployment, and application performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise applications using the OutSystems platform.
• Build responsive Reactive Web, Traditional Web, and Mobile applications.
• Translate business and functional requirements into scalable and maintainable OutSystems solutions.
• Develop reusable modules, components, UI patterns, and application frameworks using Service Studio.
• Develop custom integrations and extensions using Integration Studio where required.
• Design and consume REST and SOAP APIs and integrate OutSystems applications with enterprise and third-party systems.
• Develop data models, queries, stored procedures, and database integrations using SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
• Implement application security, authentication, authorization, user roles, and access controls.
• Use OutSystems LifeTime for application deployment, environment management, and release promotion.
• Troubleshoot application defects, integration issues, production incidents, and performance problems using Service Center and platform monitoring capabilities.
• Optimize application performance, database queries, APIs, and server-side logic.
• Utilize OutSystems Forge components where appropriate and follow platform best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, sprint planning, and Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Solution Architects, QA Engineers, DevOps teams, and business stakeholders.
• Support CI/CD automation and DevOps processes for OutSystems application deployments.
• Prepare technical documentation covering application architecture, integrations, APIs, deployment, and support procedures.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to development standards and reusable solutions.

Required Technical Skills

• 8+ years of hands-on OutSystems development experience.
• Strong experience with OutSystems 11 (O11); experience with OutSystems Developer Cloud (ODC) is a plus.

• Service Center
• LifeTime
• Experience developing Reactive Web applications; Traditional Web and Mobile experience is a plus.
• Strong experience with REST APIs, SOAP Web Services, JSON, and XML.
• Strong SQL and relational database knowledge.
• Experience with SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive UI development.
• Understanding of application security, authentication, authorization, and role-based access.
• Experience with application troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization.
• Knowledge of OutSystems Forge and reusable components.
