Job Description
We are seeking a .Net / Technical Batch System Support Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in batch processing, production support, and AWS-hosted middleware systems and a proven ability to lead incident recovery, maintain high-availability operations, and support large-scale payment processing workloads.
Responsibilities:
- Own operational delivery for the Optimizer space, including incident response, recovery, communications, and documentation.
- Support resiliency, migration, and upgrade initiatives across AWS infrastructure.
- Manage 24x7 batch processing for high-volume, high-value in a middleware environment with no UI.
- Operate and monitor ETL and Control-M scheduled jobs, ensuring timely file-in/file-out workflows.
- Drive runbook accuracy, evidence collection, and audit-ready documentation.
- Lead communications during incidents and coordinate with internal consumers and stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong proficiency in C++, .Net, and SQL Server (2019).
- Hands-on experience with batch processing, ETL workflows, and Control-M scheduler.
- Production support expertise across Windows-based web servers and AWS-hosted applications.
- Knowledge of WCF, PowerShell, Terraform (ability to make minor updates), JSON, HTML, and use of VS Code/Visual Studio.
- 5+ years in relevant roles with demonstrated incident management and stakeholder communication.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience supporting large-scale payments platforms or similar high-risk, high-availability systems.
- Familiarity with mainframe batch scheduling concepts and operations.
