  • Support routine checks such as breaker positions, battery status, and electrical room conditions.
  • Provide hands‑on help during power maintenance windows and equipment downtime.

Mechanical & Cooling Support

  • Conduct rounds on CRAC/CRAH units, chillers, pumps, and cooling loops.
  • Check temperature, humidity, and airflow; report deviations to senior staff.
  • Assist with filter changes, leak checks, and basic mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Help maintain hot/cold aisle discipline and environmental stability.

Facility Monitoring & Response

  • Monitor site conditions through BMS/DCIM and identify environmental alarms.
  • Perform initial hands‑on checks during incidents under guidance.
  • Log conditions accurately for incident and root‑cause documentation.
  • Participate in emergency response drills and basic failover procedures.

Preventive & Corrective Maintenance

  • Assist in executing PM tasks across electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Support vendors and OEM technicians during maintenance activities.
  • Follow MOPs/SOPs and ensure accurate completion of work orders and logs.
  • Help validate post‑maintenance system performance and operational readiness.

Safety, Compliance & Operations

  • Conduct daily walkthroughs to identify unusual noise, vibrations, leaks, or hazards.
  • Follow all EHS, electrical safety, and LOTO procedures.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in CMMS/DCIM systems.
  • Uphold high standards for physical security, access control, and compliance.

Qualifications & Experience

Required

  • Basic understanding of: electrical systems (UPS, PDUs, breakers), mechanical systems (CRAC/CRAH, chillers, pumps), and BMS/DCIM monitoring tools.
  • Ability to perform routine inspections and follow documented procedures.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.

Preferred

  • Experience supporting facility vendors or maintenance windows.
  • Familiarity with reading basic electrical/mechanical drawings.
  • Safety certifications (OSHA10, NFPA‑70E) or willingness to obtain.
  • Interest in growing into a senior or lead facility engineering role.

Key Competencies

  • Eagerness to learn and grow technical skillsets.
  • Dependability and accountability.
  • Solid attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and documentation habits.
