Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Workato Developer to design, develop, and support enterprise-grade integrations and workflow automations using the Workato iPaaS platform. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience building scalable integrations across SaaS, cloud, and on-prem systems, with expertise in APIs, data transformation, and automation best practices.

This role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, architects, and technical teams to streamline operations and accelerate digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain integrations using Workato recipes, connectors, and workflows
• Develop end-to-end automation solutions across CRM, ERP, HRMS, Finance, and custom applications
• Integrate systems such as Salesforce, NetSuite, SAP, ServiceNow, Workday, databases, and REST/SOAP APIs
• Build reusable connectors, custom APIs, SDK-based integrations, and event-driven automations
• Perform data mapping, transformation, validation, and error-handling logic
• Monitor production integrations, troubleshoot failures, and optimize performance
• Implement security standards including OAuth, token management, encryption, and access controls
• Work with architects to define scalable integration frameworks and governance models
• Lead code reviews, mentor junior developers, and establish development best practices
• Prepare technical documentation, runbooks, and deployment processes
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and release management

Required Skills

• 6+ years of integration development experience
• 3+ years of strong hands-on experience with Workato
• Expertise in building recipes, custom connectors, callable recipes, and orchestrations
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, SOAP, Webhooks, JSON, XML, CSV
• Experience with SQL and relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Microsoft SQL Server
• Experience integrating enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, NetSuite, SAP, Workday
• Understanding of ETL / data integration concepts
• Strong debugging, performance tuning, and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and release processes
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Workato certifications preferred
• Experience with other iPaaS tools like MuleSoft, Boomi, or Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud
• Experience in finance, healthcare, retail, or enterprise consulting environments

Nice to Have

• Scripting knowledge in JavaScript / Python / Ruby
• Experience with event-driven architecture and message queues
• API management platform exposure
