·       Most important thing would be experience in an MVC PHP framework like Laravel, Symfony, CodeIgnitor, etc. 

·       Also important would be some modern JS framework experience: Vue, React, or Angular

·       And relational DB experience: MySQL or PostgreSQL

Job Description  

The Software Developer for web applications will work on a variety of projects as assigned by various project leads. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PHP/MySQL development with a heavy experience in an MVC environment. Experience with API and web service integration a plus. Attention to detail and thoroughness are an absolute must for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

·       Designs/codes applications following specifications using the appropriate tools

·       Maintains and modifies existing applications on their own as well as under direction from senior team members

·       Performs maintenance programming for existing codebase

·       Performs custom programming as directed

·       Assumes responsibility for ongoing development of assigned tasks

·       Works with project lead and quality assurance through completion of tasks

Competencies: 

·       4+ years’ experience of quality software development

·       3+ years’ experience developing PHP/MySQL-based applications

·       Familiarity working within Model/View/Controller software architecture

·       Familiarity working within a version control system

·       Implementation of varied API and Web Services through the use of REST/XML

·       Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to other technical staff members

·       Ability to interface well with professional service staff and other non-technical members of the organization

·       Knowledge of Jira is a plus

·       Knowledge of Git is a plus

·       Knowledge of CakePHP framework is a plus

·       Knowledge of React Native is a plus

• While at Intermedix, added new features for a medical application using PHP, Zend, JavaScript, and MySQL.
• While at Kreate, developed as part of an Agile Scrum team an asset management app for clients using PHP, Cakephp, JavaScript, Backbone, MySQL, and Redis.
