Network/Systems Engineer

Description

We are looking for a skilled Network/Systems Engineer to join our team in Reading, Pennsylvania. In this long-term contract role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining efficient network and system solutions to support business operations. This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the stability and security of IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and manage network solutions to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Monitor and maintain network devices, including FortiGate, Palo Alto Firewalls, and Cisco systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve network and system issues to minimize downtime and disruptions.
Perform regular security assessments and updates to safeguard IT infrastructure.
Collaborate with team members to plan and execute system upgrades and improvements.
Document network configurations and system processes for reference and compliance.
Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and stakeholders.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems.
Ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices in all network and system operations.

Requirements

Proven experience working with FortiGate firewalls.
Expertise in Palo Alto Firewall configuration and maintenance.
Strong knowledge of Cisco networking solutions.
Familiarity with network security protocols and practices.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
Effective communication skills for collaboration and support.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Relevant certifications in networking or systems engineering are a plus.
