Description The Textron Team is seeking a talented component engineer to support a major Program. As a Component Engineer, you will perform a variety of assignments that include leading the Electronic Components' Parts, Materials, and Processes (PM&P), Obsolescence Management, and Counterfeit Parts and Materials Control efforts. A strong candidate will possess a broad knowledge base in Electronic Parts and applicable MIL-STDs and be able to support both design and production environments. Qualifications: - Experienced Component Engineer to support major Program
- The Component Engineer will assume responsibility for the Electronic Parts, Materials, and Processes (PM&P) effort. The PM&P program has been established in accordance with our customers' requirements and ensures compliance associated with the design, part selection, procurement, obsolescence, production, and testing of deliverable hardware.
- Knowledgeable with Counterfeit Parts and Materials Control as well as Prohibited Materials Control
- Ability to obtain electrical designs' Bill of Materials (BOMs) and manage any program variance requests of the components within the BOM
- Ability to determine and document the MIL-STD/PRF requirements for different electrical component types; resistors, capacitors, ICs, diodes, transformers, etc
- Obsolescence Tracking and Notifications in accordance with Diminished Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) published guidelines
- Understanding of Corrosion Prevention and Protective Finishes for electronic circuit boards
- 2+ years working with electronic components and BOMs (Level II)
- 5+ years working with electronic components and BOMs (Level III)
- Candidates must be eligible to obtain Secret Security Clearance
- Education Requirements: BS degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering

Level II: $92,600-$139,600
Level III: $115,800-$176,200
