What does a successful Progress OpenEdge Developer do at Fiserv?
As a Progress OpenEdge Developer at Fiserv you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software applications. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that align with our business goals and client needs.

What you will do:

• Design, develop, and implement software applications to support Fiserv's business goals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Perform coding, testing, and debugging of applications to ensure optimal performance.
• Maintain and improve existing codebases and peer review code changes.
• Adapt and evolve responsibilities as required to meet project demands and align with organizational objectives.

What you will need to have:

• Proficient in Progress OpenEdge technologies, such as AppBuilder, Data Dictionary, SmartObjects, and ABL (Advanced Business Language).
• 3+ years of experience in software development.
• 1+ years of experience in Java, C, C#, C++, or similar programming languages.
• 1+ years of experience in SQL databases.
• 1+ years of experience in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform services.
• 1+ years of experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• 1+ years of experience with Agile methodologies.
• 3+ years of an equivalent combination of educational background, related experience, and/or military experience.

What would be great to have:

• 3 years of experience in the financial services industry.
• 3+ years of experience with microservices architecture.
• 3+ years of experience with containerization technologies like Docker or Kubernetes.
• 3+ years of experience with performance tuning and optimization.
• Open Edge REST Services API experience a Plus
