UI/UX Designer and WordPress Developer to support ongoing website design and development needs. This role is ideal for someone who can seamlessly blend
creative design,
front-end web development, and
technical WordPress expertise. You will build new web pages, create wireframes for net-new concepts, and develop complex custom pages that require both strong design sense and backend development skills.
This is a
100% remote, part-time position requiring approximately
25-30 hours per week, with an average of
5-10 new page build requests per month.
Key Responsibilities Web & UI/UX Design- Design high-quality, visually engaging web pages aligned with brand standards.
- Create net-new wireframes, mockups, and layout concepts for pages and microsites.
- Ensure all designs follow responsive, mobile-first best practices.
- Work with stakeholders to refine requirements and translate concepts into actionable designs.
WordPress Development- Build and customize WordPress pages, templates, and theme components.
- Develop complex, multi-section pages requiring custom layouts, dynamic components, or backend logic.
- Optimize site performance, accessibility, and usability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve front-end and WordPress-related technical issues.
Back-End / Technical Work- Implement backend features needed for functionality on advanced or custom pages.
- Integrate APIs, custom fields (ACF), or plugin configurations as needed.
- Maintain clean, well-documented code throughout development.
Requirements- Strong UI/UX design portfolio showcasing website layouts and wireframes.
- Expert-level experience building and customizing WordPress sites (themes, templates, plugins).
- Proficiency with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern front-end practices.
- Experience developing complex, multi-section WordPress pages from concept to production.
- Ability to interpret vague or high-level requirements and convert them into refined wireframes and final pages.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications- Working knowledge of PHP for deeper WordPress customization.
- Experience with Elementor, Divi, Gutenberg, or similar page-builder ecosystems.
- Familiarity with UX research, accessibility standards, and usability testing.
- Strong visual design sensibility-including layout, typography, and brand continuity.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Dallas, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr.
